Got right in with no wait for a party of 6 on a Friday night at 6 p.m. Great service really good food. Overall, a very good dining experience. Our table had a Caesar salad, Greek salad, cheeseburger, Reuben, and the lime tacos. Everything was very good but, surprisingly, the standout was the excellent french fries. They also got us in and out quickly so that we could catch our movie afterwards. Bottom line, great job Hickory Falls restaurant in Smyrna.
Service and food were phenomenal, Chris P was such a pro, truly some of the best service we've had in awhile from anywhere. We ordered a burger, the blackened chicken alfredo, and steak tacos. Every dish was presented well, cooked perfectly, and delicious. The timing of our meal was absolutely perfect, salads came out quickly, once we finished those our entrees came out, once those were nearly done our to go order was brought to our table. Plates never piled up, a pet peeve of mine. It was quiet enough to have a conversation with my partner, a great date night spot. Next time we're in town, we'll be back!
Excellent place to enjoy a delicious meal. Service was exceptional from the hosts and greeters to the waitress and servers. Great atmosphere and wonderful food.
First visit to Hickory Falls for our family date night. Staff was wonderful; everyone greeted us & wished us well on the way out. Food was decent. I actually didn't hate the Cole slaw. Rice was a tad salty. Our server was awesome and kept our water glasses filled.
Wow! First of all I was honored to have met Paul (the owner) and Brenda (my wonderful waitress with me on the picture). What a fantastic experience! Paul has accomplished that home feel when you come and have a meal at this place! It’s amazing, the ambience, staff, it’s simply great!!! He has loyal staff that have been with him for over 20+ years. That smokey smell when you come in activates your taste buds!!! The place is huge and can accommodate large groups! The wonderful girls at the main dining area will take care of you! On my way out, I passed by the bar area, also a big area and plenty of seating. Now to the food… started off with a Cab (Mondavi), Brenda brought me some super soft breads with butter and for the record, I said it… better than Texas Road House bread! I ordered a Filet Mignon, medium with Sweet Potato Mash (place is known for this side), some green beans. Food was excellent! Then it got better, Paul asked me if I liked carrot cake… Of course I do! Brenda brought me a piece of this cake and let me tell you!!! That was the icing on the cake with the full experience! Cake was so rich in flavor and flat out delicious! Say no more, cake leftovers are coming with me! Paul, thank you for your kind hospitality!!! This is a Valdi approved joint!!!
Great place, ribs were fall off the bone tender, some of the best I've ate, barbecue sauce was a little much. Next time I'm asking for on the side or light on it. I love ribs the only reason I took off one star was because of to much barbecue sauce but I did eat every bite. Place has a separate bar which we didn't partake of. Waitress was great as well.
Hickory Falls is one of my favorite restaurants that I have frequented in or near Nashville. You can smell the hickory flavor from the parking lot. The comfortable and high-class atmosphere is reflected in everything they do. ALL of the staff are nice and they want you to feel welcome. At least 5 people told my guest and I to have a great or wonderful day the last time I visited which was a couple of days ago. This restaurant will make a rememberable experience for you and/or your guests! Highly recommend
You walk through the door and you are welcomed by the smell of hickory. Great place for date night, big groups or just a drink at the bar. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was high ceilings with a rustic industrial feel. The burger was cooked perfectly and the steak tacos were delicious. But the piece de resistance was the carrot cake. It's big enough to feed a table of four but light enough to not overwhelm you Highly recommend this family owned non-franchise restaurant!
We decided to stop in on our way through. Hickory Falls did not disappoint. In fact, the rib eye was one of the best I can say I have had in a long time. It was perfectly smoked, seasoned and so very tender! My husband had the bacon wrapped scallops and fish . I had the steak and potatoes. Our food was all perfect. Service was also top notch!
My friend raved about this place, and mentioned it was going to close soon, so we tried it out. Had a super cozy atmosphere and nice portions (not too big or small). Got the chicken tenders, fries, and a side salad. Super yummy moist chicken.
